Practice description

Therapy can be short term or long term, and is ultimately decided by you or your funding provider and is discussed during our first session. Fees for private counselling are negotiated together; with a view that it should be realistic and affordable for the duration of our work.

I aim to work at the depth and pace you choose. The way I work is particularly suited for individuals who have experienced distressing issues, anxiety, worry, historical trauma or feel stuck or confused in some way and would like to spend time exploring difficulties and examining impact on current relationships. You may wish to examine and reflect on family upbringing and impact on current quality of life. Or you may wish to examine ongoing work-related stress or wish to examine current options or share spiritual concepts and experiences. You may be experiencing a challenging current situation and would appreciate some private confidential time to share concerns and release some pressure and worry.

I am open to work with a variety of issues you want to bring to the sessions and support individuals from all walks of life regardless of; age, race, gender, sexuality, or sexual preferences, disability or ability, class or medical status.

My first session

The first introductory appointment is offered at £65 (for individuals) £80 (for couples seeking relationship therapy) for a 90 minute session, to give you the opportunity to meet with me, discuss your needs, find out how I work and ask any questions you may have.

Ongoing sessions are 60 minutes and fees are (individuals £55, couples £70) and discussed as part of your initial appointment including concessions and we will look at the potential length of the work and your circumstances. I also offer a discounted rate for students as well.

During the first session I offer an optional free assessment which looks deeper into your current situation and background and can help identify issues and ongoing work together. (I allow up to an hour and half to give time for the initial assessment and exploration of initial issues).

At the end of the first introductory session we will discuss how you found the session and how you would like to go forward.
