Availability

I am now taking on private clients once again. Please contact me with your availability and if you'd like to discuss options. We can have a chat over the phone if you would like before deciding if you would like to proceed.

About me and my therapy practice

Would you like someone to talk to who isn't a friend or relative? With someone close we can be guarded and worry about the effect our thoughts and true feelings might have so we filter our expression of feelings. How can we explore personal thoughts and feelings with someone close to us without the worry of changing things between us forever?

In counselling sessions it’s fine not to be okay, and to say so. Are you anxious or depressed? Do you have a problem with a relationship? Have you experienced loss or are you struggling with the effects of abuse? Maybe you’ve experienced trauma in the past or recently. If so, possibly I can help.

I can provide a safe, confidential, professional space that is yours alone where you can express things as they really feel. I offer a caring, honest, respectful, sensitive and non-judgemental counselling service that can help you through difficult times

Counselling gives you a safe space with the opportunity to talk things through, processing thoughts and feelings in confidence, so that with support you can work out the best way forward for you.

I have experience in supporting clients with loss, self-harm, anxiety and depression, relationship issues, work related stress, bullying, bereavement, sexual abuse, domestic violence, sexuality and self-identity issues.

Everyone is unique and as such counselling is tailored to meet individual needs. Some clients will need only a few sessions to help whereas others may prefer or require a longer time frame to work through.

I offer one-to-one Person-Centred Counselling sessions for people of all ages from my practice in Weston Coyney, easily accessible from Stone, Leek, Stoke-on-Trent, the A50, A500 or A520.

If you would like to discuss whether you feel that counselling might be what you are looking for then please contact me.

My first session

If you would like we have an informal chat over the phone, text or email in the first instance to help establish if this feels right for you.

During the first session there is some paperwork to fill in and a simple assessment form. This is to help me to monitor and feedback to you any changes over time as the assessment is repeated at regular intervals.

The initial paperwork and assessment usually takes about 15 minutes and I find it often helps break the ice and can help towards settling any nerves you may have.

Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Loss, Men's issues, Obsessions, OCD, Personal development, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Service veterans, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
