About me and my therapy practice
Hi and welcome,
Counselling gives you a space for many different reasons, we all have our own unique story and experiences which at times we can find difficult or stuck for vast and varying reasons. My way of working is to understand your own individual experiences, past and present within a non-judgemental space to be able to explore anything that you are finding difficult within a safe, ethical, confidential and supportive space.
I am a humanistic/integrative counsellor and a member of the BACP. I can help you find ways to enable you to understand yourself, your situation and support you towards making positive changes and choices in your life. I have a specialism in mind/body connections and trauma, autoimmune conditions, disability, chronic pain and long-term health conditions. I work to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) code of ethics and standards and hold professional indemnity insurance.
Through counselling and psychotherapy, I can help you to:
• improve your self-care and understanding
• improve and help with relationships
• improve unhelpful patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours
• learn more about your thoughts and feelings and their impact
• improve your self-worth
• help with anxiety and depression
• help with addiction and the patterns of addiction
• help and improve living with chronic pain, living with ill health and disability
• support and help carers, family of those living with chronic pain and ill health
