About me and my therapy practice
I believe that every individual is unique and important and so I am passionate about providing a safe, genuine, non-judgemental space for clients to explore and work through difficulties, gaining insight and clarity, enabling answers to be found and peace of mind for short-term issues; or more positive ways to manage your mental health with long-term struggles.
Practice description
I am a fully qualified Therapeutic Counsellor, practising in a non-institutionalised setting in the Orpington area, easy distance from Chelsfield and Orpington mainline stations and R1 bus route. I also cover clients from the wider South East London and Kent areas, including: Beckenham, Biggin Hill, Bromley, Tatsfield, Cudham, Coney Hall and West Wickham. My first session
In our first session I will explain about how I work and answer any questions you may have about the counselling process. We will work together to understand what you are hoping for from your counselling and what you want to talk about, and begin with an initial session about that.
At the end of the session we will discuss if you feel you would like to continue to work with me and if I believe I have the right skills and approach for you, or if there are other services better placed for your needs, and if we decide to continue we will agree how we will work together.

Availability
I am available for daytime or evening sessions but not weekends and would hope that we could find a mutually acceptable day and time. I offer sessions of a full 60 or 90 minutes, according to your need. Frequency of sessions would be discussed as part of setting up a contract.
I work from home and I am happy to offer face-to-face sessions. I am also flexible to work online via Teams or via telephone.
About me and my therapy practice
I work integratively, with person-centred and psychodynamic as my core methodologies and other modalities such as transactional analysis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy integrated as appropriate.
I am integrative counsellor with over 7 years of experience in charity, NHS and private practice settings. I currently have a successful counselling private practice through face to face, online and telephone sessions.
As with therapy, I regard supervision as a relational, collaborative process which provides a secure base that enables the supervisees to grow in a supportive environment, respectful of the supervisee’s modality, and within which supervisees can explore and develop their own personal way of working.
Through my supervision I aim to offer
• support - offering a containing space in which to think, reflect and look at processes
• education - sharing knowledge and experience across a range of issues, problems and concerns
• monitoring - being mindful of and upholding the BACP code of ethics and practise
I encourage discussions around ethical dilemmas and encourage all supervisees, whether in training, recently post training or experienced, to develop their own style.
Practice description
I am based in Orpington and work in a small private practice from my home office. I divide my time between supervision and counselling in order to remain grounded.
I am able to offer clinical or top-up supervision in face to face, online and telephone sessions.
I offer a warm, secure and confidential setting in order for you to bring your client work.
My first session
Our first session is initially spent discussing our contract and talking about how good supportive supervision should work, exploring hopes and expectations and establishing a good working connection.
In this first session I understand that some supervisees may have issues they urgently need to discuss and I am mindful of this. I hope to foster a comfortable working relationship and begin to look at the supervisees work with their clients and their organisations.
I encourage the supervisee to ask as many questions they want, as this is a collaborative space.
