About me and my therapy practice

Hi there, I'm Lucy 😊

I understand that starting therapy might seem daunting, however I am warm and down to earth in the way that I work with my clients and building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of what I do.

I am a BACP registered therapist with many years experience. I can help with things like; anxiety, low mood / depression, bereavement, identity issues, low self-esteem, work-related stress and many other emotional well-being issues that may bring a person to counselling.

You might be going through a particularly difficult period in life, perhaps you've just not been feeling like your usual self, or you might feel it would be helpful to explore your past, your relationships, or work on increasing your self awareness and understanding.

I am an Integrative therapist, which means I offer counselling tailored to you and will use elements from different types of therapy depending on what might feel helpful. We will work together in a collaborative way to help you explore and cope with your problems.

During our work together I could help you to;

* Explore difficult emotions and experiences

* Develop your self awareness

* Set and work towards goals

* Work on changing unhelpful thoughts or behaviours

* Find coping strategies that work for you

My first session

I believe it is really important to find the right therapist for you. Therefore, before you decide if you would like to work with me, I offer an initial telephone consultation, which is free of charge.

During this first call we will talk about what you are looking for and how we might work together - to see if it feels like a good fit. You can also ask me any questions you may have.
