About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP accredited person-centred counsellor and supervisor working with adults, children and young people offering an integrative creative approach.

I work pre-dominantly as an integrative Person-Centred counsellor and supervisor and draw on my training in, and knowledge of Transactional Analysis, CBT and Gestalt therapy in my work with clients and supervisees. I utilise these modalities along with creative resources as part of my integrative approach. Working in this way helps me to tailor sessions to meet the unique needs of individual clients, enabling me to work intuitively and flexibly with them whilst remaining true to my person-centred core.

Practice description

My background spans over twenty years of working with children, young people and their families in various educational and therapeutic roles which includes home-based settings, schools and Children's services. I am a trained group facilitator and have delivered a variety of training to parents and carers.  Alongside my private practice, I am also currently working as a school counsellor with young people aged 11-18 years.

I believe supervision is a place for supervisees to build a trusting and secure relationship, where we can work collaboratively together within the boundaries and guidance of the BACP ethical framework. I see supervision as an opportunity for learning, growth and self-development.  A place that provides supervisees with the space to reflect, challenge and be challenged; and the opportunity to explore your client work to help give you direction in future work; to be able to acknowledge the things that have gone well and for you to feel comfortable enough to talk about the things you may be left holding without fear of judgement.
