About me and my therapy practice
Hello. I offer all my clients a safe, warm, and welcoming space where they feel comfortable to share and explore their past and present experiences. Throughout this stage of your journey I will remain with you for as long as is needed. My only focus is you, your well-being; and supporting you to make the changes you want to make within your life.
As a member of the BACP my practice is governed by our ethical framework, ensuring that I am always working to promote your well-being with respect for your dignity as a human being at the forefront of my mind. I am committed to making therapy accessible to all those who feel they would benefit from it, so am proactive about working to break down barriers that exist.
My clients to-date have varied in age and come from diverse backgrounds. I have successfully supported them through bereavement, anxiety, depression, self-harming, existential crisis, and trauma. Together we have explored their formative experiences which has helped them to gain insight into their current patterns of behaviour, ultimately enabling them to change them.
My approach is an integration of person-centred and psychodynamic concepts. As an Integrative Therapist I am able to draw upon a variety of theoretical approaches to meet your needs as they present throughout our time together. If you choose to work with me, I can support you with short-term or long-term therapy in accordance with your requirements.
I will offer you empathy, consistency, and true acceptance of who you are and your experience. In our work together it is likely we will explore your past in order to shed light on what you are experiencing today; but I will never take you to places you are not ready to go and will be there to support you every step of the way. I am not the expert on your life, your experiences – you are. Therefore, I won’t tell you what to do because I believe you hold the answers you seek, and it is my job to help you to find them.
