About me and my therapy practice
I believe that we all have the natural tendency to develop our full potential and we all have an inner sense of what is best for us and can usually find our own way forward. When we lose touch with our natural tendency, feelings or emotions that may lead to psychological difficulties and we may need some help to move forward with our life.
Developing a trusting relationship with me, expressing and processing emotions or talking about important life events in a safe and confidential place without the fear of being judged, may help you to get in touch with your authentic self. My aim is to understand you and your world from your point of view as a whole person. I believe that this may help to understand the feelings underlying your difficulties.
By expressing and processing your feelings and making sense of them may help you to create new meanings or different ways of looking at yourself, others and the world around you. Along the line, these will help you consciously and rationally decide for yourself what you want or do not want and what should be done about it.
I work in a non-directive way; this means I will follow your lead in what you wish to talk about. I may suggest few things sometimes however, my main aim is to help you via reflection and identifying patterns to become more self-aware, make positive changes and gain a sense of autonomy. We will do regular reviews to check progress and you can tell me what you are finding helpful and what is not so helpful.
