About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor based in Kingston upon Thames although I am currently offering all of my sessions online, by telephone or as walk and talk therapy.
I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental approach. I believe that the relationship between the counsellor and client is key to the success of the counselling. I respect that everyone I see is an individual with a different starting point and needs, and will draw on different theories and techniques to meet these requirements. I offer all of my clients a safe environment to explore their concerns, with confidentiality underpinning all of our communications.
I have wide and varied experience and expertise in working with a diverse range of clients, including clients living with the effects of trauma, older people and their families, those suffering from cancer or dealing with the impact of cancer as a carer, clients with learning disabilities and autism, boarding school survivors and clients dealing with issues around fertility and loss of pregnancy or baby.
However, I welcome a wide range of clients to my practice all of whom have varying needs and requirements. I have a broad expertise and experience, as outlined below.
Practice description
I offer most of my counselling sessions online or by telephone. This means I can see you wherever you happen to live. I also have some limited availability for clients who want to have their therapy delivered outside in the form of walk/talk therapy (please enquire if this is of interest - only available within Kingston upon Thames area).

My first session
We agree an initial appointment where we focus on your concerns, issues and expectations and discuss how the counselling sessions will work in practice. This is an opportunity for you to find out more, to ask questions about counselling and for us to explore how we might work together. I will also make an assessment to ensure that I can meet your needs and to determine what might be the best approach. It is important that you feel comfortable with me and that you are clear about what you can expect from counselling sessions.
If we decide to continue with counselling, we will agree on how many sessions will be appropriate. Sometimes this will be a short-term approach, usually a minimum of 6 sessions, but for more deep-rooted issues we would agree a longer term approach. Whatever our agreement, we will review regularly to ensure counselling continues to meet your needs.
