About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome

I offer a safe and supportive space to explore what is preoccupying you from my consulting rooms in Honor Oak, Southeast London, SE23. I also offer online sessions in the current pandemic.

I work with individuals (18+) and couples.

My approach to therapy is integrative. It is client-led, focused on your aims for counselling and what might be helpful to you. I blend and integrate several theoretical models (including psychodynamic, attachment and body psychotherapy) aiming to look at the person a whole.

The most important aspect of therapy is the relationship we will develop: this will allow you to explore your experience, feelings, the inner conflicts you might have while feeling supported emotionally. I see the relationship between us as equal. I hope to encourage openness between us and I welcome your feedback.

My practice is open to people of all backgrounds, gender and sexuality.

I hold a Master's in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I trained at the Minster Centre, one of the leading training institutions in the UK.

I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor. I  have worked in low cost therapy services with a diverse client range on issues such as anxiety and stress, depression, eating disorders, identity questions and life changes. I have extensive experience of working within a bereavement service on complex grief and end of life issues as well as fertility issues.

I have attended additional training on: Gender diversity and other sexualities, Eating disorders, Impact of domestic violence and harmful practices. My research interests include coping with long-term chronic illness with a focus on the impact of having a skin condition on the self.
