About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist & Supervisor.
I chose to focus my training on the person-centred approach to therapy, which accords most closely with my own experience and philosophy. This approach provides a nurturing environment which will allow you to fully access your own powerful resources. I believe that working in this way will facilitate the development of greater self-awareness and provide you with the capacity to address your difficulties. It can open doors and make growth possible.
As a person-centred counsellor, I will help you look at and work through the issues that are troubling you. I won't push or direct you: the person-centred approach is based on the belief that each of us has the ability to live our lives to our full potential. My aim will be to help unlock that potential within you.
I have my own private practise in North and Central London & work with individuals & couples. I am also a Supervisor.
I am AXA PPP Healthcare registered.
I am a WPA recognised mental health therapist.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, (BACP) Senior Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Supervisor and adhere to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice. For many years, I didn't believe in therapy. I thought friends and family could support us through difficulties, and didn't see the need for professional therapists.
But my views changed when a close friend went through a very painful period in his life, and had counselling. I saw how therapy transformed him, and began to think differently about it. I realised that, while the support of loved ones may be sufficient for some, for many it is invaluable to talk to someone objective, who is professionally trained to help.
I chose to focus my training on the person-centred approach to therapy, which accords most closely with my own experience and philosophy. This approach provides a nurturing environment which will allow you to fully access your own powerful resources. About me and my therapy practice
I am BACP Senior Accredited Psychotherapist and Supervisor and have worked for 18 years as a trainer in mental health and communications for the NHS and extensive experience within organisations, THT, Antidote/London Friend and Islington Mind.
I see the supervisory relationship as one that enables and encourages autonomy, along with the development of an insightful, competent, reflected and self directed practitioner.
I feel that, mutuality, if jointly valued and desired, can be created within the intimacy of a supervisory relationship, transparency of thoughts, feelings and respect and freedom, where learning is collaborative, where personal responsibility is accepted and is the focus of our work together.
A supervisor is not there to police a supervisees work but to offer a safe space to explore their own thoughts and feelings about their work.
I agree with Carl Rogers (1967/1989a, p.306) when he talks of 'realness' or 'genuineness' in regards to supervision.....When the facilitator is a real person, being what she is, entering into a relationship with the learner without presenting a front or a facade, she is much more likely to be effective'.I have a diploma and certificate in Person Centred Supervision from Metanoia Institute.
I have completed The Practice of Person-Centred Couple and Family Therapy with Charles O'Leary and a number of CPD workshops with Counselling Works. I am supervising students on - BSc (Hons) Person-Centred Pluralistic Counselling Course, Person Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression Course (PCE CfD) and BSc (Hons) Humanistic Course. And invited onto the the final Year Viva panel.
