About me and my therapy practice

Originally from Rome, I have made my home in Norfolk and have often found myself working with those for whom identity, cultural background, sexuality and gender are not straightforward matters. My work is also suited for those dealing with painful, life-changing events (such as, for example, serious illness, loss, divorce and separation) or with the lingering effects of past traumas (for instance: childhood abuse and transgenerational transmission of trauma).

As a relationally oriented therapist, my emphasis is on mutuality and co-creation, an endeavour that sees us equally engaged in a process that, ultimately, may offer you the possibility to take charge more fully of your life, history and legacy.

My practice is supported by both psychological theories (mainly Humanistic, Jungian and Systemic) and perhaps what is more important, a diverse life experience and a deep sense of connection with other fellow human beings.

I hold a Masters (with distinction) in Jungian and Post-Jungian Studies (University of Essex), a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling (University of East Anglia), and was awarded the David Holt Prize for academic excellence by the Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies at the University of Essex. I am a member of the International Association for Jungian Studies and have published on the International Journal of Jungian Studies (Brill). I am now in a PhD programme at the University of Essex, Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies. Research interests: C G Jung, analytical psychology, Jungian and Post-Jungian theory, transgenerational transmission of trauma, Holocaust studies.

In addition, I hold a degree in fine art conservation, a teaching qualification, a certificate in Religious Studies (University of Kent). I also attended a course at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust which evaluates the complexities of the refugee experience.

My first session

My first session is free: it allows us to get a sense of whether we can work together. I also do a certain amount of pro bono work for those who cannot afford paying for therapy.
