About me and my therapy practice
I help people to access their creative potential by working through psychological challenges. Often our ability to live a fuller life is blocked by issues such as physical and emotional difficulties, anxieties, phobias and problems with how we relate to others. Working together in therapy I guide my clients to explore the source of their issue and help them to find solutions to overcome their problems.
Therapy can help with a number of issues including:
- Anxiety and panic attacks
- Depression and feelings of loneliness and helplessness
- Sexuality and gender issues
- Relationship and family difficulties
- Career / work issues
- Stress
- Lack of direction, purpose or meaning in life
- Loss of relationship, home or job
- Issues with culture and identity
- Low self-esteem
- Coming to terms with illness
- Coping with personal crisis and major life changes
- Self-exploration and self-discovery
Everyone arrives to the process at very different personal stages. I am committed to meeting each person where they are at as an individual, and can provide you with a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space, providing empathy and respect for you, your values and belief system.
Originally born in Vietnam, I arrived to the UK at an early age and can recognise the challenges of displacement and otherness through my own personal search for identity and connection.
I always felt a need to discover my purpose and in doing so crossed over careers as an artist and a producer in the creative industries. As a result of my own experience, my passion is to help others to develop their potential and discover a deeper sense of purpose and meaning.
I have experience of working with clients who are second generation Asian, born or raised in the UK, who struggle with racial and cultural identity, and the conflicts of balancing family heritage and traditions with Westernised societal expectations.
Practice description
I am a counsellor and coach, offering a combination of Psychosynthesis, Gestalt, person-centred, and integrative to suit individual needs.
I see clients for coaching and counselling sessions remotely via Zoom.
We can meet for short-term therapy to address specific issues or on a long-term basis for a deeper exploration of key issues and healing over time at a pace that’s comfortable for you.
My first session
If you are interested in working with me then I invite you to get in touch to have a free 20 minute introductory phone call. This allows you to tell me a little bit about your difficulties and ask me any questions about the way I work. This will give us both a chance to decide if working together would be a good fit for you.
If we are then happy to proceed, then the next step would be to arrange an initial consultation session where I will ask you more about yourself, your issues and your history, so I have more of an understanding of how you are impacted in your everyday life. This enables us a further opportunity to assess whether I am the right person to support your needs before we agree to begin counselling.
If you would like to get in touch to ask any questions or to book an initial session then please call or email me and I will respond to you as quickly as possible.
