About me and my therapy practice
Many of us reach points in our lives when we seek counselling or therapy. This may be because of a specific issue that we wish to tackle, or just a general feeling that things in life are not working out well. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where we can work together to explore and better understand what feels wrong, and so equip you with the means to lead a fuller, richer life.
Practice description
I work in a way that draws from many strands of thinking and teaching, according to what helps a given individual. I am interested in our early relationships and their enduring influence, but only as they help us in the here and now; my work focuses on what we can do to challenge old patterns and in practical ways to make positive changes. Above all else, I believe we are healed through warm, honest human relationships – and I always work with compassion and understanding. I work within the BACP ethical framework and strive to be inclusive of all, regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity or religion, disability or neurodiversity. I have substantial experience helping people with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma including PTSD, bereavement issues, domestic violence, sexual abuse, eating disorders, dealing with disability and illness. Whatever you are going through, you do not need to do so alone.
