About me and my therapy practice
*Currently providing online counselling for people across the UK*
I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working in private practice, having previously worked for the charity Breakeven. I am currently able to provide online and telephone sessions, giving me the flexibility to work with clients across locations.
I know that finding the right counsellor for you is important. So I provide a free initial 30 minute session, with no obligation to continue.
Whether you have had counselling before, or are accessing this for the first time, counselling provides a unique opportunity for self-exploration and reflection.
By providing a regular and reliable time and space, just for you, counselling provides the opportunity for increased awareness and understanding, of ourselves and others.
I can provide one-to-one sessions on a short or longer term basis. During our work together I will never tell you how to live your life, and will approach our work together with a curiosity and positive regard that is without agenda or expectation.
Whilst my post-graduate training has equipped me to work across issues, I have specialist training and expertise working therapeutically with; addiction and compulsive behaviours, trauma and identity.
My professional background is in equity, diversity and inclusion and human rights and these principles inform my counselling practice. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirmative and inclusive of gender, relationship and cultural identities and expression.
At the beginning of our work together we will explore your aims for therapy and check-in through out our work to ensure this is still meeting your needs. Whilst individual aims for therapy vary, I recognise the client as the expert of their own experience. Whether our work is short or longer-term, solution-focused or more expansive, I will provide you with a safe, boundaried and professionally facilitated space for your exploration and expression.
