About me and my therapy practice
I have been in practice for 15 years, supporting individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement, loss, and relationship and health difficulties.
My therapeutic style is relaxed, warm, and compassionate. I adopt a relational approach that places your needs at the heart of our work. I practice from a non-judgmental perspective, viewing difficulties as life’s challenges rather than disorders. Together, we can explore the choices and possibilities arising from your current situation and work towards understanding your options, needs, and how to move forward in life.
I have a particular interest in motherhood, pregnancy, antenatal and postnatal health (including postnatal depression, postnatal anxiety, birth trauma, and loss), and parenting.
I hold a Doctorate in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Middlesex University and a Master’s degree in Therapeutic Counselling from Greenwich University. I am BACP Senior Accredited, UKCP Registered, and UPCA Accredited.
My diverse clinical experience includes working in a community counselling organisation, a university counselling service, an NHS GP practice, and private practice.
With a commitment to ongoing professional development and a focus on providing the highest quality care, I am passionate about supporting people on their journey towards greater wellbeing and personal growth.
Practice description
I have trained in a range of modalities including existential, humanistic, CBT, psychodynamic, mindfulness and solution-focused approaches. I carefully adapt my approach to suit each individual's needs and place emphasis on building a strong and trusting relationship.
My first session
Choosing the right therapist is important. To help with this, I offer a complimentary 20 minute telephone or Zoom consultation where you can tell me about your situation and ask any questions you may have about the therapy process or my professional experience.
If you decide to proceed with sessions, we can set a convenient date and time. I usually suggest we start with 6 sessions and then review your needs. I offer both short and long-term therapy, depending on your circumstances.
I am a covid-conscious therapist and recognise that we are living through uncertain times amidst an ongoing pandemic. I offer sessions online, by phone or in a large well-ventilated room with a HEPA filter in West Wickham, Kent.
The therapy room is within easy reach of Bromley, Beckenham, Shortlands, Hayes and surrounding areas.
