About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified integrative counsellor, with 15 years experience working with addiction. I am currently employed as a mental health practitioner for the NHS and provide counselling services to an Employee Assisted Programme Service.
I also work with students who are currently working towards completing their counselling training providing concessional rates during their studies.
I work with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, and other low threshold mental health issues and also work related stresses experienced. I am a conscientious, self-motivated and reliable individual with over 20 years experience of supporting vulnerable adults and children.
I am passionate about empowering and motivating individuals, by providing a listening, non-judgemental, confidential space, whereby you are able to explore past or current issues you feel stuck and unable to move forward with. I work using person-centred, CBT and other psychodynamic counselling theory approaches.
I regard myself as an effective listener, with the ability to remain calm and maintain a professional approach adhering to the ethical guidelines and principles of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapist who I am registered with. I am available for either short or long term face to face, online or telephone counselling sessions.
