I provide counselling that works for you, whether you're looking for short or longer-term support; I've worked with people for just a handful of sessions, and over several years.
I offer a range of options:
- face-to-face counselling in Peckham, south London
- online counselling, via Zoom, and
- telephone counselling.
Most sessions take place in the daytime, during the week.
My full fee is £75 per 50 minute therapy session. I also keep some concessionary slots available, so please get in touch if you'd like more information about these.
About me and my therapy practice
I’m a warm and perceptive therapist, trained in the person-centred approach.
I believe counselling can be effective and empowering, offering a useful place in which to address specific issues, come to terms with difficult experiences, and understand yourself - and your relationships with others - better.
My experience
I've counselled people from a wide range of backgrounds, with a variety of issues, including :
- anxiety
- depression
- family and relationship problems
- work-related stress
- loneliness
- separation and divorce
- carer support, and
- bereavement.
I have extensive experience of counselling women as they prepare for and adjust to motherhood, and I've co-facilitated a support group for new mums.
My background is in delivering emotional support services to people with long-term conditions such as Parkinson's disease and dementia, and their carers, families and friends. Alongside my counselling practice, I still do some work in this area.
How I work
My way of working is to help you explore your feelings and experiences at your own pace, within a collaborative and caring therapeutic relationship.
My aim is that throughout our time together, you'll feel supported, valued and understood, and that our sessions will enable you to find your own way forward.
My first session
I offer a free telephone consultation, and an initial 50 minute counselling appointment at a reduced cost of £55.
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet, to talk about your reasons for seeking counselling and to explore how we might work together.
