About me and my therapy practice
It is a brave step to look for support for an issue you are facing. We can sometimes feel alone, but finding the right therapist means you are not alone on your journey.
I work full time as a mental health clinician within a clinic setting and offer private sessions in addition. I am passionate about my work, in the public and private sectors. I have over 10,000 hours of clinical work.
How we feel about ourselves impacts on all aspects of our lives and if we do not resolve issues they can stay with us and shape our lives long term. Therapy can help us to look at issues, where they stem from and the impact they have had, we can learn tools and strategies so that we can move forward in a new and positive way.
It is important to me that every client feels heard, comfortable and supported during the therapeutic process. All sessions are centred in a non-judgemental and empathetic setting, using humour as a key tool to allow for a relaxed atmosphere.
Sessions are not limited to a set period of time, they can continue for as long the client needs, there is no time pressure or expectations, clients are supported to work at a pace that is comfortable to them.
I am a fully qualified, competent, ethical and registered psychotherapist.
I hold the Advanced Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and post studies in Humanistic Therapies. I am an Accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I also attended Cambridge University to obtain my teaching qualification and have delivered many lectures and training sessions around mental health
