About me and my therapy practice
I am a Registered Member of the BACP and I am eligible for accreditation. I have worked with people from varied backgrounds and of different ages. I can work with anyone from the age of 12 and there is no age limit. I am a Counselling Tutor for The Bedfordshire Centre for Therapeutic Studies. I was the counselling coordinator for a college, I supported a team of volunteer trainee counsellors in placement and I counselled students with more complex needs.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor which means I can work in various ways. I have the patience and ability to go at your pace, ensuring you feel safe and empathically understood (Person-Centered). I can also work with you to explore your past and how past events influence your present behaviour and relationships (Psychodynamic). I understand that sometimes words can be difficult to find. I am able to bring in other mediums to assist your journey. These can include; paints and other forms of artwork, sand-tray and music. I am an accredited member of The Foundation for Infant Loss which means I have had additional training to counsel and support those that have lost an infant.
