Practice description

Private Practice

Russell Square, Bloomsbury

Set in an idyllic surroundings overlooking Russell Square Park and Garden

Book for a one off session, in this session we together are able to develop from the issues presenting a way forward to identify the reasons and cause of stress impacting your life.

This can also establish the right steps for you to move forward with therapy. It is important for you to feel a therapeutic relationship has developed, to enable you to feel safe and listened to! It may be short term therapy or long term therapy. The importance is for you to identify and establish your needs and tailor this to suit you.

I have many qualifications that helped me to tailor the therapy to suit the individual, from working in CBT framework when anxiety and depression are causing stress related issues. To build a case formulation to identify the issues and root cause. Together working out a structure to ease the stress and develop new mental ways of thinking positively.

Working integrative way building a therapeutic relationship which will in time evident the reasons for therapy. This may be going back to childhood, looking at the cause and effect of lived experience. Looking at learnt behaviour that helped survival mode. Making sense of stress can give a whole new perspective and acceptance. This enables a way of allowing self to let go and be free. Experiencing a new sense of peacefulness and hope.

Being mindful of self, psychological, emotional or physiological can bring about strength and compassion. Knowing who you are will allow you to create boundaries, build self-esteem, confidence and positive belief systems. This will help positive growth moving forward and give a sense of peace.

My first session

I do offer a psychological assessment. This will be for one hour. It will identify the areas of difficulty and look at the right steps for you to move forward. It will help to establish the right therapy for you.

I may use psychological tools to explore and give a more in depth understanding of the areas which are causing internal conflict or behaviour issues, identify where these manifested.

It is important to look at the bigger picture, in this sense I mean - the whole person - life experience can bring past issues that have caused many difficult problematic states which have developed and manifested over many years. Sometimes life is complicated and mental thinking can cause negative internal conflict.

The psychological assessment will help you to identify the issues, the cause and the right step to move forward.
