About me and my therapy practice

I offer friendly and relatable therapy incorporating influences from various theories which you may find useful to your specific needs.

Everyone has unique life experiences and I will try to understand from your perspective to the best of my ability. This collaborative approach helps us to explore your thoughts and feelings so that you can shed new light on something, or try to make meaning of a situation or idea.

Do you want a therapist who will actively and deeply listen to your life stories and experiences without judgement, bias or opinion which in turn helps you to speak freely about your concerns? Trust and confidentiality are crucial and I take this aspect very seriously as it is the foundation of our work together.

Some clients find working with metaphors very helpful when working through long-held thoughts and beliefs to try and pin point specific emotions and feelings - sometimes these thoughts and feelings can feel like a frustrating loop. I will work to try and understand your specific way of communicating so that you feel authentically heard and be able to speak freely.

Practice description

I offer both face to face and online appointments - if you have not used online meetings before, I will provide a 'How to' guidance sheet which explains how to connect this way. You will need private access to the internet and a device such as ; a computer, laptop, tablet or mobile smart phone.

I practice from Clarity Wellbeing Clinic in Nuneaton, which has discreet access and parking nearby - rooms are based on the 1st floor.

My first session

When you have made contact initially via email or telephone message, I will contact you to book a free of charge telephone call back (please allow up to 20 minutes) to ascertain if I can be of assistance to you. This call is to establish what your concerns are and, if appropriate, book an initial appointment. During the telephone call you will be able to ask further questions about me and what I offer and decide if that will suit your needs.

If you wish to book an appointment I will send via secure email request for payment and a Working Agreement which is a document that gives further guidance about cancellation, payment etc.

If convenient, the first session is up to 1 hour 30 minutes which includes an assessment to make sure we are a good match to work together and allows you further opportunity to ask any questions you may have and what you would like to get from therapy.  Any further meetings are scheduled for 50 minutes.  Both the initial and any subsequent appointments are the same price.
