About me and my therapy practice

As a dedicated neuroaffirmative psychotherapist and ADHD coach, I am passionate about supporting all my clients in their journey towards greater self-awareness, better relationships and enhanced executive functioning.

Searching through therapist directories creates the idea that people are a collection of the 'issues' they present with and that these can be solved in isolation.

However, I strongly believe that most people function best psychologically and emotionally when their physical needs are well balanced too. Thus I work integratively and holistically in the belief that psychological changes and awareness can only take you so far if there is limited integration between your mind and body.

My practice combines a tailored counselling, coaching and psychoeducational approach depending on your current situation and goals. I regularly incorporate guided visualisation, mindfulness and breathing exercises into the work to provide you with the resources to regulate your emotions and improve your day-to-day functioning as the foundation for psychological change.

Practice description

I am a neuro-affirmative UKCP registered psychotherapist with considerable experience of working with neurodivergent clients in both educational and professional settings.

I have dual qualifications in psychotherapy and ADHD coaching, and integrate therapy with coaching strategies to help you understand yourself better and achieve your goals.

I work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic, coaching and creative resources to help you to understand yourself better and live your life to the full.

I have 16 years' experience of working with university students and staff, and have also worked in a bereavement service and with survivors of sexual trauma.

My first session

It can be really hard to choose the right therapist for you from online directories, so I offer a free no-obligation 15-minute phone or video consultation to see if you would like us to work together.

We can have a chat about your reasons for coming to counselling and plan how we can work on your goals together.

I never ask clients to make up their mind there and then, and will give you some time after the call to process things and decide if you would like to book in a first session with me.
