About me and my therapy practice
At times we can feel stuck or anxious about life - it can even leave us exhausted and shattered from trying to be strong. This can be caused by many things such as anxiety, stress, feeling low, angry or lonely, stresses in our relationships - whether that’s family, friends or work.
How can I help? You may find it’s hard to talk to family and friends and you need that one person who takes time to listen. That’s where talking to a therapist can be hugely beneficial.
I can help you make sense of things and understand yourself better - and by bringing my skills and knowledge I can help you to resolve complicated feelings or find ways to live with them. I provide a safe and supportive environment where you can lay out everything that is troubling you and together we can look to make sense of those things that seem difficult and daunting.
Practice description
In our sessions we will reflect on different systems you have been involved with, i.e. family, friends, work, relationships and identify any patterns that emerge, what role you take within these different systems. Looking through this lens can help you understand behaviour, both conscious and unconscious.
I believe that people should consider therapy at any point in their life. My role is to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can lay out everything that is troubling you and together we can look to make sense of those things that seem difficult and daunting.
I work with individuals and couples - and offer both short and long-term support.
I’ve worked extensively in all areas of support, including family therapy, relationship difficulties and breakdowns, childhood traumas and the impact of this on your life, anxiety and depression.
I offer that space for you to address whatever it is that you are struggling with. It may be something from your past or something that you are dealing with now, or both. Our first meeting will look to determine what you want to get from our sessions and, from there, to develop a plan on how we can get there.
If you feel anxious about coming for counselling and you’re wondering if it’s going to be right for you, please feel that you can email me or give me a call if you would like to chat things over before making a decision or even if you would just like to get a sense of who I am and how we may work together.
My first session
I offer a free initial consultation either by phone or via Zoom and this lasts about 20 minutes. You can ask me any questions and hopefully get a sense if we might be a good match and work well together.
