About me and my therapy practice

We all view things differently. I am a Humanistic Gestalt counsellor and, as such,  I value the uniqueness of the person.   I work creatively in the "Here and Now" to raise awareness to what is real, significant and important to you. Raising awareness to how you are and relate to others allows you to make choices in life and builds your self-esteem.   These choices can lead to increased autonomy and an overall sense of wellbeing. 

 I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space in which to explore together any thoughts, feelings or unresolved issues that you may have. I work on a short or long term basis depending on what your needs are and what will work best for you.

Practice description

I have now returned to offering face-to-face sessions and my practice has recently moved to the newly renovated West Street Centre.  It offers a comfortable and professional setting with disabled access and facilities.  The Centre is conveniently located in the centre of Fareham near the bus and railway station with plenty of car parking nearby.  

I am still offering online and telephone counselling for those who prefer it.  

It is also possible to do a blended approach to therapy combining online sessions with face-to-face.  This is helpful if either party is required to self-isolate.




My first session

The first session is an opportunity for you to meet me and see if I am someone you can work with and to ask any questions that may arise.  It allows me to find out what has brought you to counselling and whether I can offer the support you need.  At the end of the session, there is no obligation to continue if you feel that it's not for you or that you need time to think about it.  

I will also give you a copy of my contract,  GDPR statement and take contact details that are required to allow me to work safely and ethically with you.
