About me and my therapy practice
I offer both online and in person sessions from my One Canada Square location.
I am a counselling psychologist offering therapy in Canary Wharf. I provide confidential short-term counselling and long-term therapy in English and Polish.
I have a several years of professional experience within mental health institutions such as: Burgess Autistic Trust, Highgate Counselling Centre, NHS, Mind and Polish Psychologists’ Association.
Examples of the difficulties I have worked with: anger management, anxiety, bereavement, depression, loneliness, low self esteem, mood swings, parenting difficulties, issues related to pregnancy, relationship difficulties, trauma, work-related stress, working with people on the autism spectrum.
I work in psychodynamic approach with emphasis on exploration of your emotions and consequently the unconscious aspects that contribute to your problem. We will work together in a confidential, non-judgemental atmosphere which will enable you to express and process your emotions and gain insight into your difficulties. Although my main training is in psychodynamic counselling, I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including acceptance and commitment therapy, polyvagal theory, and compassion-focused therapy.
I ensure confidentiality and I am held to the Code of Conduct of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) at all times. I hold Professional Liability and Indemnity Insurance.

My first session
During the initial session, we will explore the nature of your difficulties and decide on the best treatment option. You will have a chance to get to know me and to ask questions, without commitment to commence therapy. Initial consultations (usualy made up of first two meetings) are for us to decide whether both of us feel comfortable/are fit to work together. I work to the best of my ability but should I feel that the difficulties that you struggle with may exceed my competencies, I will aim to support you with finding suitable help. If we decide to work together, I will offer you a regular therapy slot and will hand you a therapeutic agreement that I will ask you to sign and bring to the following session.
