About me and my therapy practice

As a Person Centred counsellor, I aim to offer my clients a calm, reflective and non-judgemental space in which to understand their difficulties.

At times life can feel problematic but I believe that with the correct support my clients are able to make the  positive changes that are important to them at this stage in their life.

Whether you are struggling with a specific life event, relationship difficulties or overwhelming feelings, counselling may be able to help you.

I also offer counselling to Children and Young People who are struggling to manage overwhelming emotions, often this involves using a play-based approach.

My first session

I believe that finding the correct counsellor is essential and so I offer a free 30 minute Initial Assessment session. This is an opportunity for us to meet, find out a little more about each other before deciding whether to commit to working together in the future

About me and my therapy practice

Supervision is a crucial part of working ethically as a counsellor but it is also an invaluable tool for others working in the caring professions.

Supervision is used to allow practitioners the space to reflect on their work and the impact that they can have in their professional relationships. It is also a way of safely discussing confidential issues that can otherwise become ‘all consuming’ and is an important part of looking after the practitioners emotional well-being.

I aim to build a safe, creative and professional relationship with my supervisees in order to encourage a reflective and open space in which to explore their client work and ensure it remains ethical and effective.

My supervision experience includes 1:1 and group supervision to school based staff as well as counsellors. I work with supervisees who have many years experience but also trainees who may require more guidance and support.
