About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced counsellor with a warm, empathic and non-judgemental attitude, offering counselling from an easily accessible location in Brighton. I offer both long-term and time limited counselling for a range of issues including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relational difficulties, grief and loss. As a psychodyamic counsellor I am interested in how current difficulties may have their roots in earlier experiences or ways of relating; ways of coping or relating that once worked may now no longer do so and be causing distress; this can be explored within the context of a safe, empathic and boundaried counselling relationship. Where it's helpful, I may use a cognitive behavioural approach to help challenge unhelpful ways of thinking and acting. Counselling can provide a place to work through confusing or painful emotions, gain insight into yourself and your relationships, think through difficult issues and move forward in your life.
