About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist.

I specialise in, but am not limited to,  working with women dealing with relationship & family issues, trauma, abuse, bullying, low confidence and self esteem, anxiety, depression, stress & self defeating patterns of behaviour.

I have had extensive specialist trauma informed training to work with women looking to recover from relationships where they experienced emotional or psychological abuse. I am also a Narcissistic Abuse recovery coach.

Life can be challenging. Traumatic events, constant stress, other peoples' behaviour, and so much more, can heavily impact you, leaving you feeling overwhelmed and struggling to cope. Reaching out and investing in your emotional wellbeing is a really beneficial way to support yourself and help you get back on track.

I can offer you a safe, confidential, non judgemental space to talk through the emotional issues you are experiencing. Together we can work on understanding what you are experiencing and how and why it is impacting you, heal anything that needs healing, and find the root cause of any issues, negative beliefs or self defeating patterns of behaviour you want to change, so you can free yourself from them.

I work in an integrative way. Offering  a powerful mixture of counselling, psychotherapy, therapeutic techniques, and trauma informed recovery coaching.

I work with a solution focused approach, supporting you to find the root cause of your issues, so you can release them and achieve permanent, lasting, beneficial change.

Often the challenges we are facing in the present day are compounded by events from our past, that have subconsciously been re-triggered; making a hard time feel even worse. So there may be elements of looking back to see how your past could be playing out for you in the present.

My aim is to support you, to empower yourself, so you can stand emotionally stronger and move on with your life feeling happier and freer.

Practice description

I run a private practice in Woking and can work either in person or  online via zoom, depending on my clients' preferences.

My private practice days are Monday - Friday. I work evenings too.

There is no minimum requirement for the number of sessions you have. You are free to stop anytime that feels right for you.

Sessions lasts for 50 minutes. Ideally they will take place weekly at an agreed time, but where possible I will try to be flexible.

My first session

It is important that you find the right counsellor for you. Who makes you feel safe and comfortable and understands your needs and what you are going through. I therefore offer a free 20 minute, no obligation initial consultation which you can do either by zoom or on the telephone.

This will give you the opportunity to tell me a little about what has been going on for you and what you would like to get out of coming for counselling.  It will also give you a chance to meet me, learn a little about how I work and how I could support you so you can make an informed decision on whether working with me would feel right for you.

When you feel happy to proceed you will be required to sign a counselling contract and fill out a short assessment form. We will then book a time for your first session.
