About me and my therapy practice

I am a Counsellor, Supervisor and Trainer with more than fifteen years of experience. My approach is Humanistic, and this means that, I see you as an individual and will take into consideration all your needs including mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and creative. I work on many different levels, combining traditional and modern schools of Counselling, Psychotherapy and research.

Individual Counselling / Psychotherapy

My role is to guide you through the challenges of being in therapy by using reflections, questions and different creative techniques to enable you to take part in the process of discovering your creativity, spontaneity and potential, which will support you in creating a more fulfilling life.

Relationship/ Couples Psychotherapy

My role is to guide you (as plural) through the challenges of being in therapy by using reflections, questions, and different creative techniques to enable you and your partner (s) to take part in the process of discovering more about your relationship and how to bring better communication and more creativity, spontaneity and potential for growth together.

I offer Counselling and Psychotherapy Online so you can be in the comfort of your own home. In this secure and confidential setting (for limitations to confidentiality, please visit my website), you are welcome to talk about whatever issues may be troubling you or your relationship: whether that is anxiety, depression, repeating patterns of behaviour, arguments, problems in relationships, loss, long term emotional difficulties, traumatic experience or a lack of fulfilment or sense of meaning in life.

Online Supervision - I provide a supportive, respectful, and safe space for professionals and trainees to review their work. In this supervisory relationship, I offer space to explore the impact the work has not only on clients but also on therapists, providing space to reflect, review and replenish. for more information, visit my website.

My first session

Psychotherapy recognises the lasting impact of life experiences and how our conscious and unconscious interpretation of these experiences impacts on our ability to see the world around us, including intimate relationships and motivations for change. It acknowledges that different experiences will support us or can impact more negatively on our ability to engage with daily activities and on our image of ourselves.

In therapy session, you will be encouraged to think and explore how you see your relationship or current situation, and how your interpretation of what happened to you impacts your life now and not what is wrong with you. The focus of therapy is on exploring and reflecting on your past, present and your dreams and hopes for the future, rather than making a diagnosis.

I believe that everyone is an individual, and every relationship is unique. For that reason, during our first session, we will discuss your needs and agree to the contract that will be the most suitable for you at that time.

I offer:

Short term contracts that focus on specific situation or issue. This could be just a one-off session to up to fifteen session contract. Towards the end of the contract, you can always review your needs and decide if you would like to continue.

Long term, open-ended contract – we will review your needs once a year at the agreed time. Long term Psychotherapy is more suitable if you would like to work on an in-depth level or with long-standing difficulties.

Relationship / Couples therapy - you can chose if you want to have a short or longer contract depending on your relationship needs and goals. For couples therapy it is important that all members (usually two) are present. If you are thinking of contacting me about couples therapy, it is always best to do it together and to include both of your emails.

Group therapy – a small, up to six members group that offers space for reflection, sharing and learning from each other.

Online Supervision -  please visit my website.
