I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a Member of a number of Professional Counselling/Psychotherapy bodies. This includes being an Accredited Member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy whose Code of Ethics I adopt. I work predominantly with adult individuals and utilise a Psychoanalytic perspective.

I am experienced in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, grief, loss, abuse, sexuality, transgender, transexual, spirituality, spiritual accompaniment/guidance, Near Death Experiences (NDE's), identity issues, attachment concerns, relationship issues, addictions, work place issues and various other psychological disturbances over the broad spectrum of the human condition. Counselling and psychotherapy can provide a forum for personal growth and development and I am experienced in helping people achieve this through a focus on potential.

I foundationally work psychodynamically with adult individuals in both the short and the long term. I have flexible session times available and will see individuals either once, twice or three times per week. The decision belongs to you. During the process we will work together to address key psychodynamic areas such as the employment of defense mechanisms and other areas of the unconscious, dream symbolism and interactions in your relationships. The process can be as gentle or as challenging as we make it as co-creators in the therapeutic work. Often the body, or the somatic self, can be impacted by material which is outwith your current realm of awareness. In my work with you I can provide a space to access the mind-body relationship and bring about the potential to change not only the psychological but also the physical. 

Individual and small group supervision is available to counselling, psychotherapy and holistic practitioners and students. Facilitation will be from my office in Rode (Bath area) or online via Zoom.

A psychoanalytic, relational and integrative perspective will be utilised to assess and support your client work and assist you to access and understand the key central dynamics within your clients presentations and how this manifests in your therapeutic relationship. The transference and countertransference relationship is often a key component which plays out in a variety of unconscious ways within the therapeutic dyad and would be an additional area of observation within our supervision sessions. For those who work in 'alternative' fields a great deal of support is available from within a wide range of contemporary practices and concepts. 

I am particularly experienced in assisting you with trauma related case work to include PTSD, C-PTSD, event based traumas, dissociation and other trauma based mechanisms.

Session fees are £80 as standard per 1.5 hr session for individual supervision and £35 - £40 per person for small group supervision (max 2 or 3 participants). Reduced rates may be available with discretion.
