Availability
At any time I usually have some availability. This is variable, so I would always encourage potential clients to reach out and see what I have available at any given time.
About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my counselling and psychotherapy. You are probably here for one or more of many reasons. I hope that I can help you. My work with you is as supportive, nurturing and as challenging as it needs to be........
If at this moment you are experiencing some serious difficulty with depression, anxiety or stress, feeling angry and having panic attacks.
Or, perhaps you are very concerned about some issues in an important relationship or are in a situation where you are about to begin afresh with a new partner.
Or, you are experiencing a major change in your life which is very difficult to work through and cope with, such as a recent bereavement, a change of job, illness, divorce or other major life change.
Then......
In all of these situations it would be both healthy and helpful to talk through the problem that is on your mind so to help you understand what is happening. I can offer you the opportunity to reach an outcome that is relevant and meaningful to you.
I have many years experience in counselling and therapy following a successful and challenging career in teaching. I have a lot of experience working with students and trainees and you would qualify for my concessionary rate available by request.
If you feel that I may be able to help, please get in touch. All of our work together is confidential.
Practice description
I am one of 4 psychotherapists sharing a practice space in the centre of Bedford. We all share the same ethics and principles, but I take pride in my individuality in both professional style and the space in which we work together.
It is a very calm and welcoming building, very suitable for counselling and psychotherapy.
There is a waiting area and toilet facilities.
There is no signage to ensure confidentiality and it has a door code system that allows you to arrive and depart safely and privately.
My first session
As you arrive I welcome you to my room. It is a safe and calm space, where we can talk and share personal detail in confidence and privacy. I will invite you to share with me as much as you can about what is happening to you at this time. Everything you share is in total confidence. Some personal information that you bring will need to be recorded in the session by me. It is stored safely in accordance with GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018.
The quality of counselling psychotherapy depends very much on the relationship between myself as the counsellor/psychotherapist and you the client. Myself as therapist and yourself as client will continually bring our perceptions and an evolution of the therapeutic relationship as a continuing process in our therapy.
Our contract/commitment to a therapeutic relationship will begin in this session and be in constant review. My professionalism and your well being are paramount.
