About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist specializing in using creative means to therapy and counselling.
I am experienced in working with individuals with complex trauma, childhood trauma, and those who are struggling to find motivations and meaning for life. Many who have an inclination towards creative and artistic tendencies have found my working approach fitting for them.
I am fascinated by the diversity, complexity and intricateness of the human soul. I maintain a wonder and curiosity in life. I am not afraid of mysteries. I am open and non-judgmental. My working style is flexible and fluid – always expectant of surprises and embrace the fact that I will be challenged and amazed by the unknown.
I highly value authenticity, honour and freedom in the therapeutic relationship. I encourage play and discovery of self, others and the beauty found in the mountain highs and valley lows and the in-betweens of the human experience.
My therapeutic orientation is ‘integrative’, which means I draw on different psychotherapy and counselling disciplines including psychodynamic, psychoanalyst, gestalt, person-centred and trauma therapy.
I am also equipped and experienced in spiritual and inner-healing, if clients would like to take that route either for the entirety of the work or to have that as one of the elements, or none at all.
I adopt a creative way of working which facilitates insightful self-discoveries and the getting-in-touch with deep feelings and latent thoughts. You can have a look at my website to find out more details about my working approach.
I have worked with children and adults with a wide range of socio-cultural backgrounds, difficulties and diagnoses. These include emotional, behavioural, interpersonal or mental health concerns, life-limiting conditions, family breakdowns, anxiety, depression, split-personality, post-traumatic stress, terminal physical illnesses, sexual abuse and trauma, childhood abuse and trauma.
Practice description
Whether you are seeing me for in-person sessions in my home office, or we are meeting online, my priority is to build trust and cultivate a safe environment for you. I don't have formulas. I believe that each person and each piece of work is completely unique, so we will keep reviewing together what is working and what not. Collaboration is important. I want you to feel as involved and in charge of the work and the journey as I do.
My first session
You will be able to ask me any questions, share about your motivation for seeking therapy now, and dream about where do you want to go from here. I will also take the time to get to know you, hear your story, so we can decide together whether to embark on a journey.
