About me and my therapy practice
I am based in Perthshire, the heart of Scotland where I practice as a counsellor and supervisor. I offer face-to-face and telephone sessions.
I describe my therapeutic approach as Relational and Integrative, incorporating creative and body process aspects into my practice as a way to develop self-awareness and support positive change.
People come to sessions for a number of reasons: present concerns, issues from the past, worries, confusion and uncomfortable feelings; or to simply to deepen their understanding of themselves and the world around them. Whatever challenge brings to counselling, it is important for me to get to know you at your pace and to explore together how you can make the best use of sessions. The ways we reflect, process, make sense and express our emotions and thoughts is unique to each person; hence I tend to have available resources which may support our work together. My specific areas of expertise are around stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, caring for somebody affected by long term illness, addiction(s), trauma and abuse.

About me and my therapy practice
I am based in Perthshire, the heart of Scotland where I practice as a counsellor and supervisor.
I describe my therapeutic approach as Relational and Integrative, incorporating creative and body process aspects into my practice as a way to develop self-awareness and support positive change.
Most of my current work as a counsellor is in private practice and through the Employment Assistance Programme (EAP). As supervisor, I offer one-to-one clinical supervision to qualified and trainee counsellors/psychotherapist from any theoretical background. My practice is supported by 25+ years’ experience of the voluntary sector as a practitioner, manager, counsellor and supervisor. I have a specific interest in promoting the wellbeing of practitioners working in the helping professions and facilitate regular workshops and groupwork to promote body awareness through creativity and movement as a way to prevent burn out from emotional fatigue, as well as 1-1 wellbeing mentoring.
