About me and my therapy practice
My name is Kate and I am a BACP accredited counsellor & psychotherapist, with extensive experience (over 16 years), offering talking therapy on a short term or open ended basis to suit your individual needs and to support your emotional well being.
I have a private practice based in Enfield (EN2) and also work online.
I have worked in agency and NHS settings, in primary & secondary schools and FE college.
My counselling approach is flexible and I will adapt to your preferred style of working and needs.
I will offer you a safe, confidential and regular space to talk and explore your feelings. I offer you empathy by listening non judgementally and respectfully, and I will help you to gain insight and awareness into understanding your problems, so that you can develop new perspectives and learn new skills to work through difficulties.
I am also a qualified integrative clinical supervisor.
Practice description
I have an advanced Diploma in psychodynamic counselling. This type of therapy tends to look at your past experiences to try and help you gain insight into your current behaviour and relationship patterns.
However, I understand that not everyone wants or feels able to explore their past, especially if it is painful and difficult to think about. For that reason I also hold a post qualifying certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which means I can offer more practical and direct shorter term solutions and strategies to current issues.
My first session
I will offer you an initial assessment and together we can think about what type of therapy would most suit your needs, and what it is that you would like to focus on. This assessment also gives you an opportunity to decide whether you think you would like to work with me. If you decide that you would like to begin counselling we can continue to review your focus and goals and, if necessary amend our approach accordingly.

About me and my therapy practice
My name is Kate and I am a qualified integrative clinical supervisor. I have extensive experience (over 8 years) in providing individual clinical supervision for work with adults and young people.
I have over 16 years experience working as a counsellor / psychotherapist in various different settings.
I provide supervision which is safe and non judgmental and I want you to feel able to be open and explore all aspects of your clinical work. I will work in collaboration with you by giving you an extra mind with which to think and explore your client's issues. I can sometimes help to offer a different perspective using theory, experience, and educative input.
