About me and my therapy practice
Do you need a safe and confidential space to discuss your thoughts and feelings? Whether you're dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, loss, grief, relationship issues, addiction, or past traumas, I can provide non-judgmental counseling tailored to your specific needs.
I also specialize in supporting individuals with cancer, including patients under palliative care, as well as their family members and friends. Additionally, I offer counseling for a wide range of other concerns. I provide face-to-face, online (via Zoom), and telephone counseling with secure platforms, and offer both daytime and evening appointments.
During the pandemic, I volunteered with Frontline19 to provide free counseling to NHS staff, and I'm registered with Employee Assistance Programs and BUPA.
If you want to learn more, please call or email me to arrange a no-obligation chat. This will allow you to ask any questions you may have and determine if my services are right for you.
Practice description
Throughout my time as a counsellor, have felt confident counselling people across all age groups, cultures, and religions. I am a passionate advocate for the benefits of talking therapy and have been privileged to work with a variety of individuals.
My counselling model is person-centered and its core values are at the centre of my work. I adjust my practice to meet an individual’s needs. Such adjustments include solution-focused therapy, directive, and short-term counselling. Furthermore, being flexible offers my clients a more realistic outcome for their therapy, helping them with their issues, stresses, and anxieties.
Most recently, my work has focused on patients who are suffering from life-limiting illnesses in an NHS hospice. I was also a Macmillan counsellor working with patients who have received a cancer diagnosis with an NHS Hospital Trust. During COVID-19, I supported front-line workers by telephone. In all my roles, I offered support to the patient's families and friends.
I communicate without judgement and I can keep the confidentiality required. My background also includes working in the Substance Misuse Counselling Agency and the Young People's Counselling Service, both funded by the local government. I have also worked in the Cruse Bereavement Service, which offers support to people who have been bereaved.
Finally, as an accredited member of the BACP, I am committed to continuing my personal development and self-reflection of my practice through ongoing supervision. Both of these allow me to enhance my counselling practice.
