About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and EMDR therapist (Please see https://emdr.whitefuse.net) practicing in London W2, at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) and at consulting rooms in Wigmore Street, London, W1. If online /remote working is preferred sessions can be arranged via Zoom or FaceTime.
I offer therapy for a range of issues; such as anxiety, depression, complex trauma, difficult family relationships, bereavement, low confidence and identity issues .
I also offer Perinatal support sessions to women in pregnancy and in the weeks following birth. This is support emotional adjustment to pregnancy and infant care.
I have a special interest in the experience of uprooted childhoods - family break up or multiple house/cultural moves and its effect on identity and the ability to feel trust. Such experiences sometimes lead to symptoms of anxiety/panic attacks or depression in adult life. This may create challenges in the workplace or relationship issues with friends or loved ones.
Whether you are in crisis, or worried about something that's going on in your life, talking can make a difference.
I will listen empathically and intuitively to you express the challenges that you face and use my experience to get to the heart of the problem. Then, together, we can explore the issue and enable you to move forward in your life.
The first session or initial consultation, is a time to discuss your reasons for choosing therapy. It is also a chance for you to gauge your experience of the session and of my style of working. It is also useful to see if you want have short or long term in therapy.
Going forward I offer weekly sessions at an agreed time (with GDPR compliance in accordance with BACP/ UKCP for confidentiality). Sessions are 50 minutes long and I have a 72 hour cancellation policy. Payment is in cash or transfer at the end of each session.
