Practice description

While I have experience and training across a wide range of therapeutic themes, I have developed strong specializations in working with individuals who struggle with self-harm, suicidality, trauma, and autism. I understand the sensitive and complex nature of these issues and have dedicated myself to gaining in-depth knowledge and expertise in these specific areas. I employ evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques tailored to each individual's unique circumstances, ensuring a compassionate and supportive approach. My goal is to provide a safe space for healing, growth, and empowerment for those facing these challenges, and to help them navigate their journey towards improved mental well-being and a more fulfilling life.
I wholeheartedly believe that compassion and understanding are crucial elements in the therapeutic process. As a therapist, it is my responsibility to create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard, validated, and understood. Compassion allows me to empathize with my clients' struggles, showing them that they are not alone and that their experiences matter. Understanding goes hand in hand with compassion, as it involves actively listening, seeking to comprehend their unique perspectives, and validating their emotions. By cultivating compassion and understanding, I strive to foster a therapeutic relationship that promotes healing, growth, and empowerment. These qualities serve as the foundation for building trust and creating an environment where clients can explore their challenges, work through their pain, and find the support they need to navigate their journey towards well-being.

My first session

First sessions can indeed be awkward for everyone involved, including both the therapist and the client. It is a natural part of the therapeutic process as we are essentially strangers coming together to embark on a journey of exploration and healing. During this initial session, there is often a sense of unfamiliarity and uncertainty as we navigate the dynamics and establish a therapeutic relationship. However, it is important to remember that this awkwardness is temporary and often dissipates as trust and rapport begin to develop over subsequent sessions. As a therapist, I am mindful of this initial discomfort and strive to create a warm and non-judgmental environment that encourages open communication and allows clients to gradually feel more at ease. Together, we work through the awkwardness, recognizing it as a normal part of the therapeutic process, and ultimately paving the way for deeper connection and meaningful progress in the therapeutic journey.

Am i right for you?

Determining whether a therapist is the right fit for you is a personal and important decision. While I can provide information about my experience, training, and therapeutic approach, it is ultimately up to you to assess whether our working relationship feels comfortable and supportive. It's essential to find a therapist with whom you feel a sense of trust, rapport, and compatibility. If you have specific concerns, goals, or preferences in therapy, I encourage an open and honest discussion during an initial session or consultation to see if we are a good match. Ultimately, the most important factor is finding a therapist who understands and respects your needs, and with whom you feel confident and comfortable sharing your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
