Availability

I offer face-to-face and online appointments from a counselling service (Mind Garden) in central Reading on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

It is important to find a therapist that is right for you and that you feel comfortable working with. So I offer a 15 minute free informal initial consultation by phone. This provides an opportunity to discuss your needs and expectations, and gives you a better understanding of who I am, what I can offer, and allows you to ask me any questions that you may have.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi my name is Dan and I’m an experienced integrative BACP accredited therapist supporting those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, low self-esteem, bereavement along with the many other challenges that we might encounter as human beings.

I have a humanistic, holistic, person-centred core approach which is informed by various theoretical frameworks so my approach tailors the work to your specific needs. I will aim to meet you at wherever you are at and together we can explore your thoughts and feelings and work to find a way forward for you. Therapy can allow you space to consider your relationship with yourself and others and help promote understanding, self-awareness and change. Alongside that it might be useful to develop some strategies to cope with whatever you are experiencing.

I believe that through the power of the therapeutic relationship we can be empowered to grow and I therefore strive to offer a calming, friendly, supportive and confidential space to talk things through.

Having worked with university students for many years I do have particular specialism of working with those aged 18-30.  I have also worked with adults generally via counselling services in Essex and the West Midlands and also via a GP surgery.
