About me and my therapy practice
About Me
I work from a psychodynamic perspective, which focuses on the influence of unconscious thoughts, early experiences, and the ongoing conflict between biological drives and societal expectations. My approach helps clients explore and understand their emotions and unconscious patterns of behavior. By talking through these emotions and experiences, clients gain deeper insights into their feelings, behaviors, and relationships, leading to lasting personal growth and healing.
I am an Accredited MBACP and an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist, practicing in both Exeter and Bristol. I offer one-to-one psychotherapy and couple relationship counselling in a private and confidential setting, designed to foster a safe space for personal exploration and change.
My Qualifications
I hold a Master’s degree (MSc) in Psychological Therapies: Practice and Research, specialising in Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic therapy, from the University of Exeter. I also earned a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the same university and hold a Diploma in Counselling from Exeter College. In addition, I have trained at Tavistock Relationships, London, where I specialised in Couple Work Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Experience
With over 8 years of experience, I have worked in various settings, including private practice, independent and charitable organizations, and the NHS. My experience encompasses working with adults, couples, and young people in different therapeutic capacities.
Areas of Expertise
- Relationships and Marriages issues
- International students
- Multicultural backgrounds

How I Can Help
