About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel lost and alone? Maybe you’re struggling to cope with a loss? Or perhaps you’re dealing with a difficult diagnosis?
Counselling can help you to:
- Learn how to cope with life again following your loss
- Explore and understand your grief, reducing isolation and improving confidence
- Face those difficult conversations, bringing back feelings of empowerment and control
I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and therefore adhere to their ethical guidelines.
As a professional I am also a registered member of the Information Commissioners Office to comply with data protection law.
With over 10 years of experience working in hospice settings (St Luke’s and then Havens Hospices) offering therapy to individuals and groups, I have dedicated my career to supporting people through some of the most challenging times of their lives.
I specialise in working with end-of-life clients, bereavement including individuals coping with baby and child loss, and those living with cancer and other chronic conditions.
I’ve also worked with Cruse Bereavement Support as a counsellor.
Additionally, my own personal experience of grief has deepened my empathy and understanding allowing me to connect with and support a diverse range of people.
I work integratively which means I can tailor my approach to suit your requirements. I am also a qualified online therapist, which means I can offer online sessions as well as face to face.
Practice description
My practice is based in Leigh on Sea with available parking.
I offer in-person, online or telephone sessions and have experience of both long and short term working.
I am also a BUPA registered therapist.
My first session
I offer a free, no obligation 20 minute call to discuss any questions or concerns you might have and to see if we might be a good fit. Feeling comfortable with your therapist is really important and it may not happen first time.
If we agree to work together, we will work through a short assessment and I can give you an idea of what to expect during our time together.
