About me and my therapy practice

My name is Tracey, I work as an integrated counsellor supporting clients from varied backgrounds dealing with a wide variety of issues.

As an experienced therapist I will work with you in a safe space where you can talk about your thoughts and feelings. We can discuss any problems or issues you are struggling with in a non judgmental, confidential environment to help work through your concerns.

Since qualifying as a therapist I have supported clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma and specialised in supporting people with loss, grief and bereavement issues. This has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of how the loss of something or someone impacts on our everyday existence and how when this is affected the way that talking about this, or employing strategies to deal with the associated issues can benefit a client and help them move forward, gaining an insight in to their issues but also a resilience to those problems which are affecting them.

Practice description

Having trained as a person centred therapist in the first instance this allowed me to develop a core approach to my counselling role that focuses on being congruent with my clients, allowing them to create a relationship that is trusting and one that allows us to communicate in a bespoke fashion so that the client gets the most from their therapeutic relationship.

I adhere to a code of ethics as laid down by the BACP and carry out counselling sessions online but also in a person to person capacity. In offering these approaches I am able to provide clients with a therapeutic session which best supports their needs and wants but does so in a professional and ethical fashion employing appropriate boundaries, therapeutic techniques and strategies.

I have a safe space for face to face counselling from a therapy room in West Midlands House in Willenhall. This is located conveniently in Wolverhampton that can be accessed from Black Country Route and also the M6. We are also on a main bus route from Wolverhampton and Walsall.

The therapy room provides a safe calm, and relaxing space in which we can explore the issues you bring to counselling.

My first session

I offer a short 15-20 minutes phone call initial discussion where we can talk about your emotions and identify the issues you are struggling with. This will give you the space to talk about your needs and what you wish the outcome to be from counselling. If I am the right counsellor for you then we can arrange a session to work together.
