About me and my therapy practice
I support people to make changes in their lives and to be the best they can be. I have much and varied experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist and I am happy to work with whatever issues clients bring.
I have much experience working with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, self harm, issues of abuse, (including spiritual abuse), relationship issues, loss and bereavement, work based stress, trauma and professional fatigue/burnout.
I also offer clinical and professional supervision and support for social and health-care workers or any professional worker who feels they may benefit from objective therapeutic support.
Practice description
I offer a safe space to explore whatever is troubling you. I will listen so that you might share your story with me. You can travel as quickly or as slowly as you need to.
I work integratively using different approaches and models best suited to the issues brought by you as the client and also, how we both feel it is best to work together.
I am both a registered and accredited counsellor and a chartered psychologist.
During the first session I will talk with you about what has brought you to therapy, looking brefly at your past experiences, where you are now and also at your hopes for your future.
Through this we might develop together, a deeper understanding and awareness of issues that are troubling you, how experiences in your past may be linked and at possible factors which might be preventing you moving forward in your current situation. We'll also look at your strengths and how you have worked on problems before.
Then we can both decide on the best way forward for you.
I will support you on your journey.

About me and my therapy practice
I work collaboratively with my supervisees, meeting their needs as therapists but also as people. Just like clients, supervisees are all different and I work with each person to support individual growth and develpment as a professional therapist.
I offer a safe space in which to explore therapeutic work. I also open that space to invite the supervisee to bring her/himself into supervision so that any personal and/or organisational issues impacting therapeutic process might be explored. As an experienced academic I believe in the power of life-long learning. Supervision offers a place for supervisees to engage in that learning and to grow in competence and confidence.
Practice description
I am an experienced supervisor, having supervised many trainee counsellors through their journey to qualification; I have also supervised many qualified professional therapists.
I am also an experienced academic supervisor both at undergraduate and post-graduate level.
I have a Post Graduate Certificte in Clinical Supervision from the University of Derby. I also have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Wolverhampton.
I bring all these skills and experiences into my supervisory work.
My first session
I offer an initial free brief consultation. I explain how we might work together and then, if the supervisee feels we might work together effectively, we arrange a supervision session.
