About me and my therapy practice
You might be struggling or feeling stuck in your life. Maybe you feel like something is missing, maybe you feel sad or angry, or maybe you’re in the middle of difficult life changes. Maybe there is past trauma.
Self understanding leads to self acceptance and a feeling that you're ok - and this gives you choices about how you live with parts of yourself you want to understand better, or to change.
Working online, in-person or outdoors I provide a space for you to work through your thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. I won’t judge you or tell you what to do.
Having someone trained to listen can be a huge relief.
Where appropriate, I offer ‘walking and talking’ therapy, sometimes referred to as ecotherapy. This approach helps us think about our relationship to our environment and how this impacts our wellbeing.
Working with me:
I’m an experienced, fully qualified, registered and accredited BACP psychodynamic psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. My therapeutic work is also Jungian informed and both these approaches help you think at depth about different aspects of your life. I can bring in CBT, DBT and solution focussed modalities into short to medium counselling. I’m very experienced with young adults (18+), Highly Sensitive People and neurodiverse people.
A free short telephone or online call is available so you can decide if this is for you.
Depending on your needs I provide online sessions only currently as follows:-
Short to medium term counselling.
Longer term psychotherapy depending upon your needs.
Single Session Therapy (20 minute phone call and 50 minute session).
Outdoor / ecotherapy where appropriate.
I also offer EAP work on request.
I'm based on the Leicestershire/Northamptonshire border.
Practice description
I am a psychodynamic private practitioner, informed by psychoanlaytical and Jungian theory. My supervisors are analytical and Jungian in modality.
My current availability is a Thursday or Friday, with short blocks of limited availability on a Saturday. I offer online therapy, with some occasional availability for ecotherapy (also known as walk and talk therapy).
As well as in-person work, I also work online, so I am available for mobility limited clients, or clients who simply prefer to have their therapy in their own space. This option also gives a wider choice to clients across the UK and overseas.
My first session
There is a free 20 minute chat available - online or via telephone. An assessment session then follows where I gather background information about you and gives you a chance to ask more questions.
The first assessment consultation is to find out about you and what you would like help with. You can ask questions and I'll ask you about your background and history. In this session we'll decide whether to work together or not and decide how long this might look like.
All initial sessions are online via zoom.
There is no obligation to continue with any more sessions if you feel that this is not for you.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist with psychoanalytic and Jungian supervision of my own. I have delivered psychodynamic psychotherapy in the voluntary sector, the NHS and in Higher Education, as well as in private practice. I am currently exclusively in private practice.
My supervision credentials include SDS Accreditation in Clinical Supervision, Level 2 (Assessed Academic Competence), and extensive in-depth supervision training with the British Psychoanalytic Foundation.
I am familiar with CBT, DBT, and Jungian modalities as well as psychodynamic, and I have trained in eco-therapy. I deliver long term and short term therapy.

I offer most of my supervision online and also have a quiet home office practice. My theoretical underpinning is Psychodynamic although I also offer a space for practitioners of other modalities who want to develop their thinking in this area.
