About me and my therapy practice
Is life feeling difficult? Do you need to support with problems which are affecting you now, or is there something in your past that is interfering with living the life that you want? It can be hard to talk to family or friends, or it can feel as if there is no-one to talk to.
Challenging experiences such as bereavement, relationship breakdown, illness, bullying or stress affect everyone at some point in their lives. This can leave you feeling overwhelmed, lost, angry, isolated or confused. If you are experiencing any of these issues, or there are other problems troubling you, I may be able to help.
You may want to come to therapy to look at a particular issue – or you may have a more general sense of unease, a feeling your life could be more fulfilling, or a lack of meaning in life.
I offer a confidential space where you can talk about what feels important, challenging or painful. I offer short-term counselling, to address a specific issue, or open-ended therapy, to look at feelings or experiences which feel more complex. I don't make assumptions or judgements, and I know it takes courage to make contact with a therapist.
I have been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist for more than nineteen years, and I am BACP Accredited. I am also registered as a Clinical Psychotherapist with the UKCP.
My approach is relational, which means our relationship is central to the therapy - I see our work as a journey we make together, and am committed to supporting you in that process.
Therapy can help you become aware that ways of dealing with problems, which worked in the past, do not work in the present. By raising awareness of how you currently think, feel and respond, you can become aware of alternative possibilities. This allows you more choice about how you live your life.

Practice description
My approach to supervision
As a supervisor, I aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment, in which you can gain deeper insights and understandings to improve your clinical practice.
Supervision is a relationship which can offer support, and allow you to explore many aspects of yourself and your work. It's a place for you to reflect on any difficulties you may experience and also to celebrate your successes. We will work together collaboratively within clear boundaries to ensure ethical practice while also normalising your experiences and providing encouragement.
I take a relational approach and am mindful of the importance of cultural context, privilege and power dynamics in our work. All aspects of your work are welcome.
I offer supervision in person and online and work with counsellors and psychotherapists.
Looking for a supervisor?
If you are looking for a supervisor I would be happy to talk with you on the phone to see if it will be beneficial for us to work together. If we wish to proceed we can arrange an introductory meeting in the first instance.
