About me and my therapy practice
If you’ve landed here then you’re probably considering getting support for yourself around your mental health, or your mental growth. Either way, this is the first step in prioritising yourself. As a trained psychotherapist and coach I am able to work in many different areas, often including: increasing self-awareness and confidence, understanding conflict, communication and family dynamics, setting healthy boundaries, understanding and managing anxiety, grief and loss, low mood, and many more.
Sometimes, we need the space to grieve, vent, process and heal; therapy can be about deep healing work and understanding the past in order to do this, but it can also be about working through and processing some difficult emotions if you're feeling stuck, unhappy and keep repeating behaviours that aren't helpful. In essence, therapy is about feeling better.
Other times we may want to understand, gain clarity, and figure out a plan of action to move forward. Coaching is about goals, change and working towards a preferred future, and providing the structure to get there. Coaching then, is about doing better. Often, these two modalities work really well together, working at depth as well as making positive change.
I aim to empower my clients with a toolkit of skills and coping strategies, a renewed outlook, and increased self-awareness to help with life's challenges outside of the therapy room. Typically, I work with tools such as strengths and values, CBT skills, visualisation techniques, transactional analysis, inner child work and many more. But what is more important than any tool or skill is the ability to deeply listen, and provide the space for you to understand your own thoughts and feelings in a way you may not experience in any other relationship. This is where therapy is a fundamental part of the change process.

Practice description
Beginning therapy can feel incredibly daunting for many people as it often involves confronting vulnerable emotions, past traumas, or uncomfortable truths. The fear of being judged or misunderstood can make the first step seem overwhelming. However, I strive to create a safe, supportive space where your pace and comfort are always the priority. Most therapists (including me) will have had their own therapy journey - we get how difficult it can be. We also know that the commitment to change and the courage to be vulnerable can be life changing.
Together, we'll build a trusting relationship that allows you to feel heard and understood, making the process of healing and growth as gentle yet empowering as possible.
Being trained in several different approaches, I'm able to tailor my experience and training to your individual needs. For some people it's helpful to have a bit of a roadmap for therapy, we can figure out where you'd like to go and have a little more structure, or you may need the space to work through some difficult or challenging issues, without any pressure, timeline or expectation.
Therapeutic coaching is a process of self discovery and intentional growth. Working with each individual in a unique way, I typically encourage deep, exploratory conversations to really help you gain clarity over your thoughts, feelings and emotions. These discussions can reveal what might be holding you back or keeping you stuck in repeating patterns and behaviours that you’re finding unhelpful. I am able to draw on a number of tools from my therapy and coaching training to help you understand, process and develop new skills.
Working within private practice, the NHS, mental health settings and the business world, I am able to draw on many approaches when helping my clients find ways to change. If you want to make changes to your life but you're unsure how, feel free to get in touch to explore how we can work together to start the journey.

About me and my therapy practice
I have a Diploma in Clinical Supervision (CPPD) and provide supervision for both trainee and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists, either as individuals or groups. Aside from offering private practise supervision I have supervised students on the MA in Integrative Counselling and Coaching course at the University of East London.
My supervision training was integrative, meaning I do not subscribe to a particular modality, instead I am able to work with therapists from many different training backgrounds including Person Centred, CBT, Gestalt, TA and Psychodynamic approaches. As a supervisor, I aim to stretch the learning and thinking of supervisees, challenging them to think independently and ethically whilst working collaboratively with the clients needs in mind.
My training focused on the ‘Integrated Developmental Model’ of supervision (Stoltenberg, 1981) and is one of the most researched models of supervision. Whilst there is a focus on the relational process between therapist and client, this model ensures there is also a focus on the growth and development of the supervisee in their therapeutic work, enhancing competence and confidence over time – particularly for those who are starting their journey as therapists.
