About me and my therapy practice

BACP Registered and Accredited Therapist and Coach.

Hello and welcome, are you seriously considering counselling/therapy? it can provide you with a very powerful way to change and understand your current situation, I have facilitated hundreds of client sessions and invite you to be in touch to discuss how l can help you too.

Life can no doubt be very challenging at times and my approach aims to help you work differently with your issues so as to become less affected and more self aware to make new choices and feel better.

My approach helps clients to overcome, change and manage their situations differently by providing a blended approach to therapy.  I use a combination of Psychodynamic,CBT ( Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)  and Person Centered Therapies.I am happy to explain these in more detail if of interest to you.

I incorporate Transactional Analysis (another type of therapy working with the past and how it affects the present) and time limited and Solution Focused (Brief Therapy) whereby we have keen focus and drive, being clear on what you need to get out of sessions, sometimes as few as 4-6 sessions and working on your preferred future and less interest with your past.

Integrating these provides the flexibility needed to adapt to the varying needs of different clients. Anxiety is a special interest.

I do use coaching methods too and am qualified to do so. Some clients use therapy to process issues then seek out coaching, it can be a very useful alternative to therapy, coaching can be misunderstood but shouldn't be underestimated ,it is a powerful tool for change.

Please do be in touch to discuss how I can best use these interventions to show you and support you through the change you might be looking for.

I look forward to hearing from you.
