About me and my therapy practice
I am qualified and experienced as a therapist for individuals and relationships both monogamous and non-monogamous relationships. I am qualified as a relationship therapist by Pink Therapy London (Accredited by COSRT).
I am accredited by BACP and practice according to BACP code of ethics. I have been working as a therapist for 17 years.
I have consulting rooms in the University area of Belfast.
Practice description
I use the person centred approach and a psychodynamic approach which will allow you to look at present attachment styles in your relationship and how they may be influenced by old attachment styles from the past.
We will look at communication styles, self - esteem and assertiveness and where assertiveness and anger may be mixed up and any issues around intimacy, sex, money, respect...etc
We will look at how you can speak your truth and compromise and when is the right time for each.
My first session
In the first session we will be creating a safe and confidential space where we can start outlining the main issues of joy and difficulty and the conditions for common ground and mutual respect.
The following sessions will be giving you a chance to talk about feelings, problems and potential solutions or agreeing to let go and where that brings you to/next steps.
