About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my page. My name is Debbie Evans and I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, with Senior BACP accreditation. I offer a warm, safe, confidential space, away from your day-to-day life, to focus on and explore difficulties that might be holding you back from living the life that you want to.
I work with adults and young adults both online (offering Google meet appointments) and also in-person in a therapy room in Malvern, Worcestershire.
I support clients who are facing challenges associated with life transitions or change. These changes may be ones you have been faced with which you had no choice in, changes you have made yourself where you can see some support to help you to manage the transition would be helpful, or changes that you feel you want to/need to make in your life.
Sometimes we are aware a change needs to happen from within. A new self-understanding, exploring our identity, making sense of past experiences, working out how we want our future to be. We can examine all of these things together in counselling.
If something in your life has changed in a way you weren’t expecting/ready for (a bereavement, redundancy, end of a relationship) and you need some support to work out how you feel about it and what this means for your life, these are also issues we can explore together.
Practice description
I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor. Although I am predominantly person-centred in my approach, I incorporate elements of CBT and solution focussed strategies, alongside other modalities I have trained in, into my work depending on what your goals are and what your preference is in terms of how you process your experiences and communicate.
I meet and see each of my clients as unique and individual. My aim is to learn who you are, how you make sense of the world and what you want to work on. It is rare we get the chance to share our story with someone who is completely focussed on us and our personal goals. This is where self-understanding can be achieved and healing can happen.
I have experience of offering brief support, time-limited support as well as longer term counselling.
