About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm and thoughtful psychotherapist, counsellor and executive coach. I am also Founder Director of Gale & Co: Professional Coaching for Authors (www.galeandco.co.uk), which has helped many writers to become published authors. My specialties are: relationships; work and career; self-esteem; writing and creativity; anxiety and stress; conflict and anger management; illness; bereavement, loss and grief; couples counselling; sexuality and sexual identity; LGBTQI+; disability; childhood sexual abuse; metaphor and dreams. I work with couples, individuals and groups.
Psychotherapy and counselling can support people in crisis; and give us all an opportunity to examine our lives and consider changes we might like to make. Even at the most challenging times, we can maintain or recover our sense of aliveness, satisfaction and joy; and become more self-aware, developing richer, more fulfilling relationships. With a supportive psychotherapist or counsellor, couples can find ways through the difficulties of loving relationships, or be supported to separate amicably and constructively.
I began my career in book publishing where I was Editorial Director of Pan Macmillan, Marketing Director of Simon & Schuster and Joint Managing Director of The Women's Press. In addition to founding Gale & Co to continue my work with writers, I co-founded the executive coaching organisation, Working Edge.
